District Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Stewardship
- Establish and execute annual store level financial plans to ensure that budgeted financial performance is met or exceeded. The annual financial plan must address: retail and service revenue, store administrative labor, commissions and guaranteed wage, salon supply and inventory shrink; and revenue and expense elements.
- Performance against the annual financial plan will be measured quarterly against actual results. Results and plans for remainder of the year to be reviewed and updated quarterly with the Director of Operations.

- Leadership and Development
- Ensure succession planning through assessment of forecasted management needs
- Develop an annual succession plan to be reviewed and updated quarterly with Director of Operations
- Develop and execute a Location Manager training plan
- Assess, evaluate, and provide feedback on store level succession plan
- Present an annual plan to be reviewed and updated quarterly
- Conduct an effective manager meeting on a regular basis
- Ensure succession planning through assessment of forecasted management needs
- Customer Experience
- Empower your management teams to exceed customer expectations by delivering on our Mission Statement
- Conduct an effective store visit
- Ensure 100% proper execution of marketing plans, promotional programs and visual merchandising standards, as directed by the Home Office
- Ensure that all locations are performing all operational procedures with 100% accuracy
- Ensure that store safety and security measures have been communicated and are being carried out 100% by store management
- Ensure that all locations follow the Beauty Brands Retail and Salon Best Practices Guidelines
- Conduct an effective quarterly evaluation
- Complete Long Form evaluation
- Develop Action Plan
- Ensure accountability through evaluation of Action Plan with managers
Prerequisites
- Two or more years experience in retail and/or salon management
- Demonstrated record of leadership skills
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High degree of familiarity with salon products and the beauty industry
- Excellent personnel management skills
Job Requirements
- Work a required 45 hours per week
- Attend all District Manager functions (including quarterly District Manager meetings and development sessions, annual Manager’s meeting, company banquets, etc.)
- Able to relocate
- Perform annual evaluations
- Review and approve all employee terminations within District
