Beauty Brands Celebrates Grand Opening of Salon•Spa•Superstore in Clive, Iowa with "Girls' Night Out" Event.
August 16 Event to Benefit The Family Violence Shelter, Beauty Brands' Partner in Their Fight Against Domestic Violence.
CLIVE, Iowa. (July 12, 2007) – Whether in the mood for a smart new haircut, a facial and body massage, or an entire makeover with styling products from head to toe, Clive residents will find a complete beauty experience at the new Beauty Brands Salon•Spa•Superstore located at 10001 University Avenue (northwest of West Valley Mall) in Clive, Iowa. The new 6,500-square foot location will mark Kansas City-based Beauty Brands Salon•Spa•Superstore’s first location in Greater Des Moines, and the creation of more than 30 new jobs. It also marks the company’s 50th location nationwide.
Beauty Brands introduces a revolutionary concept in the beauty industry: a full-service salon and spa within a dynamic retail environment, providing one-stop convenience for both high-quality products and services. Beauty Brands’ array of services includes haircuts, highlights, texturizing, manicures, pedicures, facials, massage therapy, hair removal services and more. In addition, each Beauty Brands location offers more than 10,000 salon-exclusive products.
To celebrate its grand opening, Beauty Brands will host a special night out -- just for the ladies! Women are invited to gather their girlfriends for “Girls’ Night Out,” a free event to be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This fun evening of special gifts, complimentary spa services, salon and spa tours, product samples and tasty hors d’oeuvres will benefit The Family Violence Center, Beauty Brands’ partner in the fight against domestic violence. During Girls’ Night Out, Beauty Brands will donate 25 percent of salon and spa services booked, retail purchases and gift cards sold to help break the cycle of domestic violence for Des Moines families.

Guests of Beauty Brands’ grand opening celebration will be treated to complimentary consultations, chair massages and paraffin treatments by salon professionals and may register to win a luxurious Day of Beauty spa package valued at $140, as well as several Beauty Brands gift baskets.

Created in 1979, the Family Violence Center provides safe shelter, individual crisis counseling and support groups, referral and advocacy services for victims of domestic violence (including court advocacy), and education in the community about violence prevention. It also provides age-appropriate safety planning, crisis counseling and group activities for children in the center. With a 62-bed capacity, the Family Violence Center is the only shelter in Polk County specifically for victims of domestic violence. Beauty Brands’ partnership with the Family Violence Center is part of its nationwide Reduce Abuse program to support local women’s shelters that reach out to victims of domestic violence. Since its inception in 2001, Beauty Brands has donated more than $275,000 in funding to domestic violence programs and shelters through Reduce Abuse.
