Beauty Brands Hires LaSala as New Artistic Team Leader

Artistic Team Leader With Goal of Taking Training and Education to a National Level

Beauty Brands Salon•Spa•Superstore recently took a big step toward positioning itself on the cutting edge of American beauty and style. The company promoted Leah LaSala to fill the newly created position of Artistic Team Leader to lead the company’s salon professional training and education programs. LaSala brings decades of experience to the company, and she is responsible for bringing the latest beauty trends and techniques to each of the company’s 50 and growing locations nationwide.

“Leah brings a great deal of talent, enthusiasm, experience and charisma to our entire organization,” said Dave Bernstein, chief operating officer for Beauty Brands. “The creation of the artistic team leader position marks Beauty Brands’ drive to lead the beauty industry in training and education.”

LaSala will be responsible for the education and training of Beauty Brands salon professionals in 11 states, familiarizing them with the latest styles and trends, as well as cutting-edge techniques for hair, skin and nails – the three cornerstones of Beauty Brands’ business. In addition, she will educate the company’s salon professionals about building and servicing clientele, and through the company’s elite training professionals, will provide district and location managers with hands-on recruitment and development tools to attract and keep the best salon professionals in the business.

“We believe that investing in Leah’s talent and resources will help Beauty Brands take our training and education program to the next level,” said Billie Sue Power, director of operations for Beauty Brands.

LaSala has received numerous top stylist awards throughout her 30-year career as a salon professional. She has managed teams of more than 50 professional trainers, and repeatedly has been a top requested trainer. She is certified as a colorist for Redken, a trainer for Farouk (BioSilk Hair Care Products) and an educator for CHI straightening appliances. She also has been a certified haircut trainer for Paul Mitchell and a certified colorist for Goldwell. During her nine-year tenure with Beauty Brands, LaSala served as district manager with responsibility for nine locations in Beauty Brands’ Kansas City West district. She also worked as a location manager, where she was twice named manager of the year, and as a salon professional.
