What is Botox Cosmetic?

Botox Cosmetic is the #1 selling treatment of its kind*: It’s the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet & forehead lines look better in adults. It’s a quick 10-minute treatment with minimal downtime. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines. It delivers predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines.

How does Botox Cosmetic work?

Botox Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet & forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling & raising the eyebrows over the years. Your specialist will inject these muscles with Botox Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines & your forehead lines.

How much time does the treatment take? Does it hurt?

The actual injection process takes a quick 10 minutes. Your specialist will discuss your treatment goals & perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. Then, some patients report that being injected with Botox Cosmetic feels like a pinch. If you are concerned about discomfort, discuss numbing options with your specialist.

What is the recovery time after treatment?

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your specialist’s office. Treatment with Botox Cosmetic is customized to your goals & needs. When you meet with your specialist, they will determine the appropriate treatment for any areas you wish to address, including moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet & forehead lines. Remember, only Botox Cosmetic is approved to treat all three of these areas.

For the crow’s feet area, your specialist will inject 3 areas of the muscle that frames the side of the eye. This will be repeated on the muscle that frames the other eye.

For the frown lines area, your specialist will administer 5 injections into the muscles between your brows and in your forehead.

For the forehead lines area, your specialist will administer 5 injections into a muscle in your forehead.‌

Will I see results quickly? How long do treatment effects last?

Restylane
What is Restylane?

Restylane: A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body's own naturally produced hyaluronic acid, helping to visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines). Additionally, Restylane is FDA-approved for lip enhancement in patients over the age of 21 and is uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.

This causes the lines that run along the side of the face and mouth (nasolabial folds and marionette lines) to become more pronounced as well as the chin to recede so far back toward the neck that it creates an imbalance of facial features (chin retrusion). Restylane Defyne is crafted with XpresHAn Technology to correct these deepened lines and wrinkles and improve chin projection by correcting mild-to-moderate chin retrusion. The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Defyne is also designed to help support your facial expressions—for natural-looking results that help maintain your natural movement.

Restylane Kysse: The first lip filler designed with XpresHAn Technology for flexible movement and natural-looking volume proven to last for up to 1 year. Enhances texture and color of the lips while maintaining a full range of expressions.

Treatment can be administered in your hands & face at the same appointment — and can result in a more youthful-looking appearance.

Restylane Refyne: A next-generation hyaluronic acid dermal wrinkle filler designed to help support your skin while keeping you looking like you.

Kybella
What is Kybella?

Kybella is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile.

How does Kybella work?

The active ingredient in Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella destroys fat cells, and once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat. This results in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin, revealing an improved chin profile.

How much time does the treatment take? Does it hurt?

The actual treatment is usually quick. The most common side effects of Kybella include swelling, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness in the treatment area. These are not all of the possible side effects of Kybella.

Your specialist will create a tailored treatment plan based on your chin profile. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 KYBELLA® treatments. 59% of patients received 6 treatments in clinical studies.

What is the recovery time after treatment?

After Kybella treatment, you will likely have some swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. Be sure to inform your healthcare professional if you develop an uneven smile, facial muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing or injection site problems such as bruising, hair loss, open sores (ulcers), and damage and tissue cell-death (necrosis) around the injection site. Call your healthcare provider if you develop open sores or drainage from the treatment area.

The most common side effects of Kybella include swelling, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness in the treatment area. These are not all of the possible side effects of Kybella.

Will I see results quickly? How long do treatment effects last?

Targeted fat cells are usually removed from the area within four to six weeks after receiving injections, at which point patients start to see a noticeable difference to the appearance of their profile.

When injected into fat under the chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further treatment is not expected.
